Open Inventor, click on OPEN and select the file you want to alter (pencil01.ipt)
When the model loads it will be in this orientation.
To make it easier to work with, change the orientation to FRONT by clicking on the cube in the top right corner.
Click on any part of the model and a small popup will appear. Click on EDIT SKETCH.
When you move your pointer over the text, it will become highlighted. Double-click on the text to open the text editor.
When the text editor opens, make sure you highlight the text in the editor by double-clicking on it or by clicking and dragging your cursor from right to left.
Type in the new name and when done, click on OK.
To reposition the new text, click and hold and move it to suit.
When done, click on FINISH SKETCH in the upper righthand corner.
Select FILE, EXPORT, CAD FORMAT from the drop-down menu.
Give your file a name and from the SAVE AS TYPE menu select STL FILES (*.stl) at the bottom. Click SAVE and your STL file will be ready for printing. Save the working drawing if you wish, such as paul.ipt.
